Apaches Stay Unbeaten With Win Over Sauk Valley in RV & Powersports Classic

Tyler, TEXAS- Tyler Junior College's men's basketball team defeated Sauk Valley Community College 94-75 for the opening game of the RV & Powersports Classic in Ottumwa, Iowa.

With the win, Tyler has secured its first 3-0 start since the 2019-2020 season, when they began the year with 17 consecutive victories.

TJC led 47-44 at halftime, fueled by 14 first-half points from guard Jeremiah Lewis, who was a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the half.

Jeremiah Lewis finished with 22 points, Joey Brown added 14, Luis Gil chipped in 12, and both Chris Uwayo Jr. and Caden Bell contributed 10 points and five assists each. Zander Frazier had a well-rounded performance, recording five points, eight assists, and eight rebounds, while Josiah Hill controlled the glass with nine rebounds.

The Apache's next game will be tomorrow, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., as they take on No. 11 Indian Hills Community College to wrap up the RV & Powersports Classic.
