BRENHAM, Texas – Tyler Junior College volleyball battled nationally ranked Blinn College on the road Tuesday afternoon but came up short in four sets, falling 3–1 (25–21, 21–25, 14–25, 23–25).
Calee Carter led the Apaches with 15 kills, while Maranatha Silafau added 10 kills and a strong .562 hitting percentage. Natalia Roszewska chipped in 13 kills and two blocks. Setter Lauren Pyle paced the offense with 37 assists and contributed two aces and 17 digs.
Defensively, Dani Brey anchored the back row with a team-high 22 digs as TJC totaled 54 for the match.
Blinn's attack was powered by Kaliko Schilling (18 kills, .316) and Olivia Stringer (16 kills, .263), helping the Buccaneers overcome an early deficit after dropping the opening set.
