JACKSONVILLE, Texas – Four different Apaches scored twice as the Tyler Junior College women's soccer team rolled past Jacksonville College, 10-0, on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The Apaches improved to 3-2-4 overall and 2-2-3 in conference play. The Jaguars fell to 3-8-0 on the season and 2-4-1 in conference action.
It marked a sigh of relief for TJC, which snapped a winless stretch dating back to Aug. 30. The Apaches went 0-2-2 during that span.
Six different players factored into the scoring outburst, with four finishing with two goals apiece.
Ahlem Ammar opened the scoring in the fifth minute with her first goal of the season. She added another early in the second half, finishing with a season-high four shots.
The Apaches dominated on both ends, firing 29 shots on goal while holding Jacksonville to just one.
