Women's Tennis Season Wrap-Up
The TJC Women's Tennis team capped off a remarkable 2025 season with a strong showing at the NJCAA National Tournament, earning a third-place team trophy and demonstrating resilience, talent, and grit throughout the year.
Leading the way was standout Amelia Devlin, who delivered an incredible performance to capture the #2 Singles National Championship and earn First Team All-American honors. Her dominance on the court was a highlight of the tournament and a reflection of her hard work all season.
Joining her in the spotlight was Sherin Scheerle, who battled her way to a runner-up finish in the #6 Singles flight, earning Second Team All-American recognition. Her performance was a testament to the depth and determination of the Apaches' roster.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Micah Avance, the team faced numerous challenges—including injuries and the natural growing pains that come with new leadership. Despite these hurdles, the Apaches stayed focused and committed, displaying the heart and championship mindset that defines TJC athletics.
This season was a testament to the strength and unity of the program. With individual accolades, a top-three national finish, and a title in hand, the Apaches proved they belong among the elite in junior college tennis.
