Women's Tennis Ranked #1 in Latest ITA Poll

The TJC Women's Tennis Team is ranked #1 in the nation, based on the latest poll released yesterday by the ITA. Kerri Cartwright leads the way for the Lady Apaches, boasting a #2 ranking in singles and a #1 doubles ranking with her partner Audrey Leitz. Other Lady Apaches ranked in singles are Leitz (13), Nelo Phiri (22), Alejandra Enderica (23), and Ariana Saldana (38). The team also has two other doubles teams ranked, with mary Blacketer and Saldana (8) and Phiri and Enderica (14).

The NJCAA Women's Tennis National Championship will be hosted by Tyler Junior College this year. Dates for the competition are May 6-11, 2012. All matches will be held on the TJC campus at the JoAnn Murphy Medlock Tennis Center and the Louise Brookshire Family Tennis Courts.
