The #2 Tyler Junior College Apaches defeated Texas Southmost College women on Saturday 4-0 at Hartley Field in Tyler. Tyler would score in the first half when freshman forward Jada Hayes scored at the 19:40, assisted by Gabrielle Thompson. A second goal at 29:44 by Miki Hayashi, a sophomore midfielder, assisted by Rebekah Nolen, made it 2-0 at the intermission. Tyler would double up their goal total in the second half with two goals by Sille Bach Vesterholm, a freshman defender from Hedensted, Denmark. The win takes the Apaches record to 3-0 on the season. Next up for the #2 Women's soccer team is a contest on Friday at Hartley Field on the campus of Tyler Junior College against Jacksonville College at 5:00 pm.
