Three Apache Golfers Earn WGCA All-American Scholar Honors
FRISCO, Texas — The 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team was announced on Monday, July 13, with three Tyler Junior College women's golfers earning the prestigious academic honor. Freshmen Brynlee Bandley and Bella Irwin, along with sophomore Kylie Ruston, were recognized for their outstanding achievements in the classroom as members of the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team.
Bandley and Irwin, both freshmen, along with sophomore Ruston, were among the student-athletes honored by the WGCA for their commitment to academic excellence while competing at the collegiate level.
The WGCA All-American Scholar Team is one of the highest academic honors in collegiate women's golf, recognizing student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the classroom while excelling as members of their respective golf programs.
Founded in 1983, the Women's Golf Coaches Association is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches across the United States. The WGCA is dedicated to promoting and advancing women's collegiate golf while recognizing the academic and athletic accomplishments of the student-athletes and coaches it serves. Today, the organization represents more than 750 coaches nationwide.
The trio's recognition continues a tradition of academic excellence for the Tyler Junior College women's golf program, highlighting the department's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel in every aspect of the collegiate experience.
