Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Nationals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Tyler Junior College finished in eighth place after Thursday's final round of the NJCAA Women's National Golf Championship at LPGA International.
The Apache Ladies had a four-round total of 1,341 (334-343-344-320).
"We had one of our better days," TJC coach Sandy Terry said.
Redlands (Okla.) won the tourney with a 1,176, followed by Seminole State (Fla.) at 1,225.
Sarah Schober of Redlands won medalist honors with a 282 (73-71-68-70). Teammate Elcin Ulu was second at 290 (70-75-72-73).
There were 17 teams in the tournament with more than 100 players entered.
Golfers for TJC included: T35, Maraea Durie (83-84-87-78-332); T35, Alexandria Martinez (82-87-87-76-332); 39, Lisa Frauenberger (83-85-84-83-335); 44, Sarah Murray (86-88-86-83-343); and T54, Megan Anthony (95-87-89-92-363).
