Softball Season Wrap-Up

The Apaches wrapped up a strong 2025 campaign, closing out the season with a 22-12 overall record and an impressive 16-8 mark in Region XIV conference play. With 425 runs, 509 hits, 104 doubles, and 60 home runs, TJC proved to be one of the most explosive offensive squads in the region.

Heading into the Region XIV Tournament ranked nationally and seeded #3 in the North Division, the Apaches were poised for a deep postseason run. Their tournament journey began with a hard-fought matchup against South Division #2 seed Galveston College. Despite battling until the final out, the Apaches came up short in a 5-1 loss. Piper Morton delivered the team's lone run with a solo home run, while Jolie Bazan and Morton each contributed a hit. On the mound, Kearston Gooch, Sarah Philips, and Jaycee Bullard combined to hold Galveston to just three earned runs.

In their second and final game of the tournament, TJC faced off against #4 seed Alvin Community College. After falling behind early, the Apaches surged back with a three-run third inning highlighted by a two-RBI double from Sydney Farmer and another RBI double from Morton. However, Alvin's early offense held strong, and TJC was edged out 5-3, ending their postseason run.

Despite the early exit, the Apaches had plenty to be proud of this season. The team's offensive power was evident in their season-long statistics and individual accolades. Sydney Farmer capped off her outstanding season with First Team All-Conference honors. Second Team recognition went to Payton Bray, Piper Morton, Jolie Bazan, Sarah Philips, and Chloe Payne—showcasing the depth and talent that defined the Apaches' roster.

As the dust settles on the 2025 season, the Apaches can reflect on a year filled with determination, talent, and growth. With a strong core of players earning conference honors and valuable postseason experience under their belts, the future looks bright for TJC Softball.
