TJC Men's Tennis Finishes as National Runner-Up

Laredo Community College won six of their seven matches today as they defended their National Championship, outscoring Tyler 46-43.

Tyler entered the day with a slim 41-40 lead. Laredo got off to a strong start, winning four of their five morning singles matches, including three against Tyler, to take the lead 44-42 heading into doubles action. TJC won their doubles match at #3, making the score 44-43 Laredo, but Laredo won a three set thriller at #1 doubles to clinch the title. Laredo went on the defeat Tyler at #2 doubles in the final match of the day. Tyler did win their flights at #5 singles (Nathan Robinson) and #3 doubles (Phiri/Roessle).
