The #9 Apache Men's soccer team notched their second win of the season over Jacksonville College 2-0 at Pat Hartley Field on Friday night. The home squad stifled the Jaquars attack, out shooting Jacksonville 20-5 for the match. Two of those shots for Tyler would find the net, one in each half. Sophomre forward from Easton, Pennsylvania, Wilson Bibiano would break the scoreless tie in the first half quickly at the 3:00 mark, assisted by Yart Van Lieshout. But it would be another 70 minutes before anyone would score again. It was the Apaches Knox Hicks, a freshman forward from Tyler Legacy High School, who broke through at 73:00, with Oscar Bech getting the assist. The win ups the Apaches season record to 2-0-2 and they are now 2-0-1 in Region 14 play. Tyler will not have much time to savor the win, as they hit the road for a matchup with the Blinn Bucaneers in Brenham on Saturday night at 7:30 pm.
