Apaches Win SWJCFC Championship
The Tyler Junior College Football program capped off a historic conference season with a commanding 33–14 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, securing the Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) Championship and continuing a perfect 11–0 season.
The Apaches set the tone early, jumping out to a 14–0 lead in the first quarter and never surrendering momentum. Running back James Lee powered the offense with a dominant performance on the ground, rushing for 137 yards on 15 carries. TJC piled up 256 rushing yards as a team, finding consistent success behind a physical offensive line.
After taking a 20–14 lead into halftime, the Apaches locked down defensively in the second half, holding NEO scoreless across the final two quarters. TJC's defense forced three interceptions, smothered the Golden Norsemen on third down, and allowed just 240 total yards.
With their 33–14 victory to secure the Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) championship, the Apaches officially punched their ticket to the NJCAA Football Playoffs.
TJC will learn its next opponent during the NJCAA Football Selection Show, where the national committee will reveal playoff seedings and matchups. For the Apaches, the announcement marks the next step in a season defined by consistency, physicality, and a rapidly rising national profile.
