TYLER, Texas – Tyler Junior College football delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, cruising to a 55–7 win over Blinn College at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The Apaches exploded early with 34 first-half points and never looked back, amassing 595 yards of total offense while holding the Buccaneers to under 300.
James Lee led a balanced ground attack with 113 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, while Ashton Haynes added 82 yards and another score. Quarterbacks Tre Guerra and Luke Ullrich combined to complete 18-of-25 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns.
Through the air, Jamari Evans paced the receivers with five catches for 100 yards, Elijah Baesa posted 91 yards and a score, and Amari Henry added 67 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, TJC forced a fumble and limited Blinn to just 13 first downs, allowing only one score late in the fourth quarter.
