Roswell, N.M. — Tyler Junior College pulled off an unforgettable comeback on the road Saturday, shocking New Mexico Military Institute 18–17 on a last-second Hail Mary touchdown from Tre Guerra to Gentz Hilburn.
Trailing 17–0 at halftime, the Apaches came alive in the second half. Guerra caught fire through the air, finishing with 385 passing yards and two touchdowns despite three interceptions. His final throw of the day — a deep heave into the end zone — found Hilburn, who came down with the ball over three defenders as time expired, sealing the comeback win.
Hilburn finished with 102 yards on three catches, while Elijah Baesa led all receivers with seven receptions for 120 yards. Amari Henry added 78 yards through the air, and Bryce Burgess rushed for 54 yards to help balance the attack.
