TJC Announces Departure of Head Coach Brett Doe

TYLER, Texas -- The Tyler Junior College Athletic Department announces that Head Baseball Coach Brett Doe has accepted a position at Abilene Christian University. The department thanks Coach Doe for his time, dedication, and contributions to the Apache Baseball program during his tenure.

Coach Doe was instrumental in the program's success both on the field and in the classroom. During his two-year tenure, Doe led the Apaches to a combined 68-45 record, including a trip to the program's first Regional Final appearance at the Division 1 level in 2025. Coach Doe also achieved his 100th career win while serving as Head Coach for TJC.

"While we are saddened to see Coach Doe depart, we are incredibly grateful for the leadership, dedication, and impact he brought to the baseball program," said TJC Athletic Director Doug Wren. "In a short time, he helped elevate our baseball program and made a lasting impression on our student-athletes, staff, and community. He will always be an important part of TJC Baseball history. We wish him, Alex, Lou, Ada and Ella nothing but the best as they begin this next chapter."

A national search is underway for the program's next head baseball coach.
