Women's Golf takes first at Blinn Invitational

The Tyler Junior College women golfers took first place in the Blinn Invitational this week held at Brenham Country Club in Brenham, Texas.  The Apaches bested the other four teams by 36 strokes. Sophomore Azul Amezcua  had the lowest overall score with a tourney best 77-74 for a two day total of 151, seven strokes ahead of Blinn's Emily Madeley.  The Apache's Ayana Dailey , a freshman, finished in third overall with an 85-77 and a total of 162.  Other Tyler golfers finishes included: sophomore  Alejandra Escobar  in 5th with a total of 166, sophomore Jordan Davis  in 9th with a 172 and Thaiz Amezcua in 10th with a 173.
