Members of the TJC men's and women's golf team did not start their 2013 golf season on the golf course. Instead, they all volunteered at the East Texas Food Bank. According to Tim Butler, Volunteer Coordinator, the men's and women's golf teams helped feed over 1,200 Senior Citizens and their families, and their time in labor was worth $750 to the Food Bank. Coach Sandy Terry praised his players, calling it "a very productive day in the lives of these student-athletes."
