SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - Tyler Junior College sophomore Nate Anderson achieved NJCAA first-team All-America status by finishing in the top eight of the Division II golf national tournament at Goose Pond Colony.
Anderson, from Duluth, Minn., shot a final-round 75 on Friday to place seventh at 1-over 289. Filip Timmerman, from John A. Logan (Ill.), won the individual title at 8-under 280 and also led his team to the national title.

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - The Tyler Junior College Apaches, including sophomore Nate Anderson, brought their ‘A' game Thursday as they fired a third-round-best 284 at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Tournament.
The Apaches vaulted from 11th into a tie for fifth at Goose Pond Colony, where Anderson had six birdies and shot a 3-under 69 to climb into a tie for second place. Not far behind Anderson were teammates Ryan Mulvany (72), Vincent Anagnos (70) and Chris George (73).

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - The Tyler Junior College Apaches improved in the second round with a 296, but so did 15 other teams on Wednesday in the NJCAA Division II golf tournament at Goose Pond Colony.
Ten schools shot better than TJC, which is 11th out of 19 teams at 23-over 599.
On a day when six players shot in the 60s, TJC sophomore Nate Anderson fired a 1-under 71 to rank in the top 10 at the midway point. TJC freshman Ryan Mulvany fell out of the top 10 after carding a 74.
