BULLARD -- Tyler Junior College swept its own Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Eagle's Bluff Country Club.
The Apaches won the 10-team men's event by five shots over Northwood, 614-619, while the Apache Ladies captured the five-team women's division over Northwood, 685-702.

The Apaches, along with the Apache Ladies, on Tuesday captured the championship of the TJC Fall Invitational on the Oak Hurst Golf Course.

The TJC black team shot an opening round 281 to take the lead at the 2009 Fall Invitation at Oak Hurst in Bullard. Stefan Labuscagne and Nate Anderson both shot a 69 to lead the squad. Lon Morris is 7 shots back, and the TJC gold team is in fifth with a 306. The TJC women's team shot a 331 to lead Texarkana by 12 shots going into tomorrow's 2nd round. Jacki Marshall shot a 76 to lead the way.

The TJC men's golf team shot an opening round 287 to take the lead at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational. The men were led by Chris George's 70 and Stefan Labuschagne's 71. The TJC women, led by Jack Marshall's 79, are tied for 5th after an opening round score of 342.

The TJC Men's golf team, led by Stefan Labuschagne's 72, shot a 294 to win the UT Tyler Fall Invitational in a scorecard playoff over Paris. The tournament was shortened to one round due to weather. The TJC women finished 2nd, eight strokes behind Texarkana. Jacki Marshall shot a 73 to win individual medalist.
