On the strength of strong singles play and not losing a match in doubles, the TJC men's tennis team clinched the team title with a day to spare.  They won 5 out of their 6 singles matches, and then advanced to the main draw doubles final in flights two and three and to the consolation championship in flight one doubles.  After today's play, TJC had tallied 40.5 points, with ASA (NY) in 2nd with 34.5 and host Collin College in 3rd with 33.  ASA has a chance to win 3.5 total points tomorrow, making the 6 point TJC insurmountable.  Finals in all flights will be tomorrow beginning at 8am.  It is TJC's 3rd national title of the year, following men's soccer and women's tennis.  It is the school's 49th title in their history.
