Lauren Emmerson (Tyler Junior College/Kilwinning, Scotland) has been named the 2011 NSCAA Women's Junior College Division I National Player of the Year after helping Tyler Junior College to its second national championship in three years. She leads the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's Junior College Division I All-America Team

Tyler Junior College women's soccer assistant coach Rachel Neese has been selected as the Junior College South Region Assistant Coach of the Year. She is one of four assistant coaches from across the country that have been selected for this award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Regional Assistant Coach of the Year award will be presented at the NSCAA Convention in Kansas City on Thursday January 12th, 2012.

The Lady Apaches (24-0) closed out a perfect season with a 1-0 victory over Darton College (18-3-2) to claim the 2011 NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Championship this afternoon at Melbourne Central Catholic School (FL). This marks the 2nd National Championship in 3 years for the Lady Apaches in only 4 years of existence.
