Traveling to TJC from the South (Austin, TX)
1) From the Austin, Texas metro area, take Interstate 35 from Austin to Waco.
2) Exit I-35 in Waco onto Texas Highway 31 East, toward Corsicana. Continue travel on TH 31 until you near Athens.
3) In Athens, take the Jed Robinson Loop north. The Jed Robinson Loop will take you away from downtown Athens and back onto Texas 31 north.
4) Travel TH 31 north to Tyler.
5) Once inside the Tyler city limits, continue to travel on TH 31. This highway is also known as Front Street within the Tyler city limts. You will travel past the Tyler Rose Garden and East Texas Fairgrounds. At the third traffic signal since crossing Loop 323, turn right. This is Glenwood Boulevard.
6) Glenwood will lead you up a hill and past a water tower. Stay on this stretch of road as it changes names to Fifth Street. The road will change to one lane for approximately six residential blocks and you will pass through five stop lights before you come to the TJC campus. Prior to the fourth of these traffic lights, maneuver into the left lane.
7) At this fourth stop light, Beckham Avenue, you will see a Blockbuster Video store on your right-hand side. After passing through the next traffic light (Fleishel Avenue) get into the left lane.
8) The next light, Palmer Avenure, turn left and ou will see Pat Hartley Field as well as the parking lots on your right hand side. Every parking lot (except for the Tyler Museum of Art) will be available. Wagstaff Gymnasium is located on Apache Pass across from the Tyler Museum of Art.
