Edson Rico, Hall of Fame Inductee
Edson Rico was one of the original soccer recuits in the programs history at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona and still to this day, the Roughriders all-time leading scorer. He led Yavapai's first recruiting class to a NJCAA National Championship in 1990, including assisting on the championship winning overtime goal. A two-time All-America selection from Las Vegas, he is still at the top of the table in goals and points for the Arizona school. In addistion, he played eight years of professional soccer including four years in Belgium.
Charlie Inverso, Hall of Fame Inductee
Charlie Inverso has coached Mercer County Community College for over 20 years. Under his direction, the Vikings have captured 11 final four national finishes, three national runner-up awards, and five NJCAA Division 1 National Championships. He has been an ODP Region 1 staff coach for 14 years and an assistant coach with the United States U15 National team for six years. He is fast approaching 400 wins which includes three victories over Mike Pantalione's Yavapai College teams in 1991, 1995, and 1996 national title matches.
Mike Pantalione, Hall of Fame Inductee
Mike Pantalione is the first and only coach in Yavapai College soccer history. His .922 winning percentage is the best in mens intercollegiate soccer history at any level. Under his direction, the Roughriders have captured 17 consecutuve conference titles, 15 final four national finishes, six national runner-up awards, and five NJCAA Division 1 National Championships. He is fast approaching 400 wins (all-time best 21.8 wins per season) which includes three victories over Charlie Inverso's Mercer County CC teams in the 1997, 2002, and 2003 national title matches.
