TJC's Brooke Dennis hits a return in her No. 1 doubles match against Lee College at the Murphy Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon. Dennis and her partner Mariya Slupska won the match 8-6 as the Apache Ladies swept the meeting 9-0.
The Tyler Junior College women's tennis team captured its 17th consecutive dual-match victory by dominating Lee College, 9-0, Wednesday at the Murphy Tennis Center.
The second-ranked Apache Ladies (17-2) had their toughest match with third-ranked Lee at No. 1 doubles. Mariya Slupska, a sophomore from the Ukraine, and Brooke Dennis, a freshman from Abilene, won 8-6.
Robert E. Lee graduate Casey Bulls, a sophomore, won 8-3 at No.3 doubles.
The Apache Ladies did not drop a set in the six singles matches, with 6-4 the closest score.
The TJC men's and women's teams will travel to Oklahoma City to play this weekend.
