TYLER -- Jasmine King scored 20 points Friday night, leading the Tyler Apache Ladies past the Blinn Lady Buccaneers 67-56 in the women's Region XIV basketball tournament at Herrington Patriot Center at UT-Tyler.

   
 
Britney Joseph pulled down 16 rebounds for No. 3 seed Tyler (23-8), which will play No. 2 seed Angelina (25-5) in the semifinals Sunday afternoon.
 

Brateicka Mock scored 15 and Jaleesa Thomas 13 for Blinn (16-15), which had won six straight games.

Tyler led 32-28 at the half, and the Apache Ladies were up by only 47-42 with 9:43. But Katelyn Bernsen hit a 3-pointer and King scored on a lay-up to increase the lead to 52-42, and Blinn never got closer than six points the rest of the way.
 

Tyler led 59-53 with 1:11 left and Benson made four free throws and Latika Smith two to wrap up the victory.
