The Tyler Junior College women's basketball team plays a rare Monday conference game today against No. 7 Trinity Valley. The tipoff is 6 p.m. at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
The first-place Lady Cardinals (16-4, 7-1) are in the middle of playing four games in eight days, including three just this week. They go to Angelina on Wednesday and then entertain Blinn on Saturday.
Both TJC (16-5, 5-4) and Trinity Valley played this past Saturday, with the Apache Ladies losing 55-51 at Blinn and the Lady Cardinals hammering Lon Morris 93-58.
Trinity Valley dominated the season's first meeting with TJC, winning 115-74 on Jan. 13 in Athens. The Lady Cardinals have won 16 of the last 18 in the series.
TJC plays Saturday at Jacksonville.
