The Tyler Junior College men's basketball team outscored Brookhaven by 20 in the second half as the Apaches won 90-62 Friday night in the Robert Pack Classic at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
Three of TJC's five returning sophomores scored in double figures, led by Johnathan Edwards' 17.
Sophomore guard Brad Gay led the second-half run with all 13 of his points. Labree Sledge, another sophomore shooter, finished with 15 points all from the 3-point line. Freshman Malcolm Moore contributed 14 points.
The Apaches (2-0) made only 15 of 37 free throws.
In the other games, Ranger beat the Stephen F. Austin Club, 78-69; and Southern-Shreveport topped Southwestern Christian 76-71.
