TJC head baseball coach Jon Groth and his 1984 University of New Orleans teammates are being inducted into the UNO Hall of Fame. The ceremony is part of a busy weekend to wrap up the regular season for UNO.
The Privateers, who host rival Louisiana-Lafayette May 13 through 15, will honor their four seniors, as well as members of the 1974 and 1984 College World Series teams at Maestri Field.
The 1974 team, which reached the DII College World Series, and the 1984 squad -- the first team in Louisiana history to reach Omaha, Neb., -- will be inducted into the UNO Athletic Hall of Fame and will be presented prior to Saturday's contest.
