"...we used four different pitchers in this game and none were as sharp as we needed them to be to win this game...we walked 6 and gave up 10 hits...that's too many baserunners against a good team to expect to win...if we had scored 10 or more runs, like we did this past weekend, we'd have been fine, but we didn't and can't expect to against the Div I opponents we play every Monday ...."
"...we had some key opportunities early in this game and did not make the most of them...bases loaded, 0 outs and only got 1 run out of the 2nd inning and we loaded them in the 3rd inning and got only one again...we really never mounted any serious threat after the 4th inning...Pirtle, Smith and Daniel had 2 hits each, but we had 12 fly ball outs that really hurt us in a large AA professional ball park like Fair Grounds Field...."

"...It was a challenge, physically for our guys to have to play our 4th game in 3 days on the road...we played OK but we didn't play clean enough baseball to expect to win today...each time we compete against a Division I opponent on Monday, we need to play solid baseball, make them earn everything they get and we didn't quite do enough of that today to expect to win....April has been a rough go of it on the road...after this weekend, we'll have our last two games at home..."
