HOUSTON -- The Tyler Junior College men's soccer team has been stung by San Jacinto once again in the playoffs.
The third-ranked Apaches lost 5-0 to the No. 4 Coyotes on Saturday in the Region XIV championship match on the San Jacinto campus.
TJC ended its season with a record of 13-3-1. San Jacinto (14-1-2) advances to the district tournament scheduled for TJC's Pat Hartley Field on Friday.
Smoke Signals: The TJC women play Navarro today at 2 p.m. in Jacksonville for the Region XIV championship. The Apache Ladies won their first-ever postseason game Thursday, 3-2, over Lon Morris. Today's regional final will be played on the Lon Morris campus.
