BULLARD -- The Tyler Junior College women and the Lon Morris men lead after Monday's first round of the TJC Fall Invitational Golf Tournament at Oak Hurst Golf Course.
The Apache Ladies, led by Elizabeth Rosebury's 77, tallied a 324. Western Texas is second at 333, while Hill College is third at 412.
Other golfers for TJC were: Xeniya Zheleznova (80); Jacqueline Lujan (80); Alexis Byerly (87) and Whitney Flewellen (90).
On the men's side, Lon Morris combined for a 285 to lead by six strokes over Paris (291). TJC Black is third at 295. Hill College is next at 297, followed by TJC Gold at 302. Texarkana College is sixth at 306 and Southern Arkansas is seventh at 329.
James Glenn led TJC Black with a 70. Other Tyler golfers were: Stephen Labuschagne (74); Blaine Weiterman (75); Cody Bass (76) and Cody Blankenship (77).
TJC Gold was paced by Jared Johnson at 73. Others included: Daniel Gibbins (75); Luke Loggins (77); Sean Lyons (77) and Mark Kreml (83).
The second and final round of the tourney is Tuesday.
