TEMPLE -- The Tyler Junior College Apaches tied for second, just one stroke out of first, Tuesday in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Golf Invitational at Wildflower Country Club.

TJC's Cody Blankenship won medalist honors with a 142 (71-71), two strokes ahead of Brent Marshall of UT Dallas (73-71 -- 144).

UT Dallas won the tournament with a 599 (292-307), while TJC (302-298) and Lubbock Christian (302-298) tied for second at 600. There were 18 teams in the field.

Others golfers for TJC were: 18, James Glenn (76-75 -- 151); 33, Blaine Weiterman (79-74 -- 153); 38, Stefan Labuschagne (76-78 -- 154) and Jared Johnson (87-82 -- 169).
