DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Elizabeth Rosebury, a freshman from Bullard High School, shot her best score of the tournament with a 5-over 77 Thursday as Tyler Junior College finished sixth at the NJCAA Women's National Golf Championship.
The event was shortened to 54 holes after wildfires canceled the first round at the LPGA International-Legends Course.
Rosebury's final round, in which she shot 37 on the front nine and 40 on the back, led the Apache Ladies to their best score (335) of the tournament. TJC finished at 1035, three shots out of fifth.

TJC's Region XIV rival, Lon Morris, placed fourth at 985. The Lady Bearcats posted an outstanding 314 in the final round, just one shot higher than national champion Redlands (Okla.).

Redlands shot a 946 total to win its second national title in three years.

The TJC men's team will take part in the NJCAA Division II National Championship May 20-23 at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz.
