In what Coach John Peterson called the deepest field he has seen in some time, the TJC Apache Ladies finished 2nd in the NJCAA National Tournament in Tucson, AZ.
Hillsborough (Tampa, FL) won their two matches Thursday, including the #4 singles final over TJC's Sureena Weir, to end up with 45 points. TJC had one other match on Thursday, with sophomore Priscillia Villemond falling in the Flight 2 final. The Apaches finished one point behind Hillsborough with 44 total points. Region 14 conference foe Lee finished one point behind the Apaches with 43.
