Tyler Junior College celebrated 60 years of the Apache Belles Saturday afternoon at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
At some point, the fans who poured into the home side were expecting a football game to break out.
Instead, the grand halftime show was TJC's only highlight as No. 8 Blinn beat the Apaches, 43-0, in a Southwest Junior College Football Conference matchup.

TJC (2-3, 1-2) has been outscored 106-28 the last two weeks after upsetting then-No. 8 Cisco on Sept. 15.
Blinn (4-1, 1-1), the defending national champion, bounced back from last week's loss to Kilgore by holding the Apaches to three first downs and 61 total yards in the first half.

Quarterback Stephen Schwark had another forgettable day for the Apaches. The redshirt freshman turned the ball over on each of TJC's first two possessions and finished the game 5-of-12 for 42 yards and one interception.
Schwark, playing without his two most experienced offensive linemen because of injuries, was under duress all day.
"There's no doubt about it, our quarterback hasn't played well the last two games," said TJC head coach Danny Palmer. "A lot of that could have been us, a lot of that could have been having (Drew) Chasney and (Ryan) Roget out.
"But Schwark is still my quarterback. I just want him to play better."
Blinn took advantage of Schwark's two early turnovers with scoring drives of 35 and 27 yards for a 10-0 lead after the first quarter.
The Buccaneers added three touchdown passes in the second quarter - of 60, 55 and 14 yards - for a 29-0 lead at halftime.
After TJC went three-and-out to open the second half, Blinn marched 87 yards in seven plays to make it 36-0.
Quarterback Terrance Cain's 21-yard scramble for the touchdown was his last play of the night, as the Bucs started playing their reserves after that.
The second half went quickly as TJC opted to run the ball almost exclusively to shorten the game.
"What we wanted to do was be physical in the second half, improve running the ball and getting tougher," Palmer said.
The Apaches will attempt to resurrect their season with a trip to conference leader Kilgore (4-1, 2-0) next Saturday.
Kilgore defeated Arkansas Baptist, 38-13, in a non-conference game.
"We've got Kilgore coming up and we played them well the first game (a 34-24 loss)," Palmer said. "I know they've improved. They beat a good Blinn team, that's evident that Blinn is good. They are dangerous in every area."
Smoke Signals: Blinn averaged 8.4 yards per play against TJC, which averaged 2.9. ... Blinn offensive lineman Marquis Franklin, a freshman from John Tyler, is the starter at right tackle.
