DALLAS - Tyler Junior College volleyball team is 2-0 this season after posting wins against Ranger and Wharton Friday in the first day of play at the Brookhaven Tournament held at Brookhaven Community College.
 
The Apache Ladies beat Ranger 3-0 (30-18, 30-18, 30-12) in their first game. Tatiana Kuhn led the team with 10 kills. Leticia Kuhn had eight kills and four aces, and Naomi Mayes finished with seven kills and four aces. Dalia Serra finished with 30 assists and four aces in the victory.

TJC struggled a little more against Wharton, but still managed to win it in sweep fashion, 30-13, 31-29, 30-26. Leticia Kuhn again dominated with 14 kills. Tatiana had 12 kills and Mayes finished with six kills. Serra dished out 38 assists.

TJC will next face Western Texas College at noon Saturday before squaring off with host Brookhaven at 4 p.m.
