One of America’s greatest pastimes is baseball – heroes, excitement, clutch plays – World Series. We here in East Texas get to experience that in a big way starting next week. That’s because the TJC Apaches have earned a spot in the Division Three World Series for the first time in school history.

Guess what – The World Series is going to be played here in Tyler, Texas. The Apaches are the number one ranked Junior College team in America and their roster includes 32 Texans who play baseball for the simplest – and the best of reasons, for the love of the game. You see TJC competes at the Division Three level and that means there are no athletic scholarships… The young men are truly student athletes who play baseball for the enjoyment of the competition – and winning. Now they’ll have a chance to win a National Championship in their own backyard. Let’s all of us wish them the very best in their quest for the National Championship!
