The American Baseball Coaches Association released today the National Coaches of the Year, and Tyler Junior College baseball coach Doug Wren has been selected as the ABCA/Diamond National Coach of the Year in the NJCAA DIII level for the fourth straight year.

The National Coaches of the Year are selected in each division from the ABCA/Diamond Regional Coaches of the Year, which were announced on June 29 . Regional and National Coaches of the Year will be honored during the ABCA/Diamond Hall of Fame/Coach of the Year Banquet at the 74th annual ABCA Convention, which will be held Jan. 4-7, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The banquet is set for Jan. 5, 2017 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel.

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 8,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches on June 29, 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth.
