Hannah Finch signed her NJCAA National Letter of Intent this morning to join the Apache Volleyball team next fall, becoming the fourth player from Lindale to play at TJC.  As a senior at Lindale High School Hannah racked up 83 aces, 83 kills, 33 blocks, and 1078 assists as Lindale continued their long history of state playoff appearances.

“I’m really excited about my future at TJC.  I chose TJC because I like the Coach Hatch here at Lindale and the Coach Hatch at TJC, it’s close to home, and I like TJC.” –Hannah Finch

“The biggest benefit of Hannah going to TJC is being able to watch her play collegiate sports.  We have seen every game during high school and are extremely excited about keeping our traveling clothes on to watch her during college.” –Jerry Finch (father)

Even though Lindale lost to Whitehouse during their Bi-District match-up, Hannah will have the chance to come in next fall and make an immediate impact for the Apaches as a setter.

“I am very excited to have an athlete of her caliber.  She’s a great blocker, a good court leader, and is very quick.  We needed someone who could step in at that position and I believe that she has the ability to do so.”  --Coach Dana Hatch (TJC)

The Apache Volleyball team also has signed Jessica Richardson as a libero from Ceder Hill, TX.

Note:  On February 7th, 2007, the Apache Volleyball team will host a “play day” where current players and signees will have a chance to showcase their talent during intersquad scrimmages.  These are open for viewing to anyone who wants to attend.  Time and location will be announced closer to the date of event.
