Texas A&M University-Commerce junior setter Cortni Brazalton earned Lone Star Conference North setter of the week honors by recording 108 assists and 33 digs and helping the Lions to a 1-1 conference record last week.
Brazelton, a transfer from Tyler Junior College, tallied a season and career-high 62 assists and 20 digs in the Lions 3-1 upset victory over then-Lone Star Conference North leader, Cameron, on Thursday (Sept. 28).
One of the three Deer Park, Texas natives followed that performance up with her second-straight double-double --- 46 assists and 13 digs -- in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Central Oklahoma (Sept. 30), who currently stands atop the LSC North standings.
Brazelton averaged 13.5 assists per game and 4.125 digs per game in last week's two matches.
