SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Tyler Junior College's Ryan Mulvany claimed the NJCAA Division II Arnold Palmer Award presented by Callaway for earning medalist honors at the NJCAA Division II Championships, according to a release today from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Mulvany was tied for the championship lead after shooting 69 in the opening round. A second-round 72 allowed him to move into sole possession of first. Mulvany slipped back into a tie for first after 74 in the third round but claimed the championship after firing a tournament-best 68 in the final round to win by three shots.
