PLYMOUTH, Ind. - Tyler Junior College, led by Ryan Mulvany's 3-under 69, is tied for first place after Tuesday's first round of the NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament at Swan Lake Resort.
 

The Apaches carded a 6-under 294 and are tied with four other teams - John A. Logan (Ill.), Mississippi Gulf Coast, South Mountain (Ariz.) and Southeast (Neb.) - for first place.

Two teams - Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) and Mott (Mich.) - are six strokes back at 300. There are 19 teams entered.
 
Mulvany is tied with Jared Smith of Mississippi Gulf Coast for medalist honors. They are a stroke ahead of Caleb Johnson of Muskegon (Mich.) and Steve Souchek of John A. Logan.
 
Other TJC golfers include: T8, Conlan Laporte, 1-over 73; T26, Tyler Terry, 3-over 75; T54, Cameron Lindell, 5-over 77; and T68, Jonathan Singleton, 6-over 78.
 
There are 218 golfers entered.
 

The Swan Lake Resort course is 7,112 yards.
