The Tyler Junior College baseball team, which finished second in league play, had four players voted All-Metro Athletic Conference for the 2009 season.
 
Sophomore Jordon Vierra, whose .462 batting average ranked No. 2 in MAC play, joined teammates Jeff Pine, Payton Parsons and Drew Johnson as all-conference members from TJC.

Tyler Junior College will recognize its 12th group of inductees into the TJC Sports Circle of Honor during an awards luncheon on Saturday, June 27, on the TJC campus.

The awards ceremony will take place at noon in the Apache Rooms of the Rogers Student Center.

Former Whitehouse standout point guard Mitch Marquis will play for his father next season at Tyler Junior College, confirmed Mike Marquis.
 
Mitch signed with NCAA Division I Centenary College in November but was granted a release from his scholarship in the spring.

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - PING NJCAA Division II First and Second-Team All-America teams, as well as PING All-Region team, were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America prior to the national championship.

A total of five players comprised the first team - Lon An of Darton College, South Mountain CC's Scott Brace, GateWay CC's David Gonzales, Tom McGrane of Chandler-Gilbert CC and John A. Logan College's Marcelo Rozo.
